Interactive tactile maps are an innovative product for Latvia. The basis is a computer and a touchscreen monitor, on which a relief (tactile layer) is attached. In this case, it is a city map. You can read the map both visually and by touch. The streets are indicated by relief lines, the railway is solid, the objects on the map are circles. In total, 170 streets and objects appeared on the map of Riga. After a blind person explores the map, by double-clicking on any of the streets with a finger, its name sounds.
Thus, it is possible to program not only the city map, but also any other information. For example, paintings.
